Overwatch is bringing some World of Warcraft love to matches with skins for Genji and Symmetra. Genji will be running around like Illidan soon and Symmetra will be channelling Elune’s light as Tyrande. So this morning, Blizzard posted the new key art for BlizzCon 2019 to their Twitter, and in the process, got a lot of people wondering what Sylvanas’ role will be in the upcoming expansion. Besides all the big announcements and mechanics deep dives, BlizzCon also features panels that are creative and fun to watch, but not necessarily important as far as big news goes. Diablo III’s freebie is the Murkromancer pet, an aquatic companion, and it’s coming soon as well.
The in-game pink @ hollywood casino amphitheatre, hollywood casino amphitheatre, september 9 for World of Warcraft also become available today. Players who purchase a ticket online will get faction-specific cloaks, as well as faction banners to drop on the battlefield to display your pride. The virtual ticket also comes with non-Warcraft goodies as well, such as a new skin for Overwatch’s Sombra. The BlizzCon virtual ticket, which can be purchased now for $49.99, is going to come with a bonus to the normal goodies this year.
As others have mentioned it also gives the in game goodies and access to the blizzcon gear merchandise, which I also bought a few items from. Being a long time LP fan I was pretty excited to hear they are the closing ceremonies and am looking forward to that too. So for all that the ticket was worth it to me this year, being able to watch panels and stuff live is just sort of extra. But if you don’t want in game goodies, or to buy any gear, then I would say hold off on buying and wait till the info is all online minutes or hours after it is announced. Blizzcon, one of the biggest events in the gaming world is right around the corner. And while physical tickets may be hard to come by, virtual tickets have made a return.
Finally, Hearthstone’s freebie has not yet been revealed, though a teaser image suggests it will be a Golden Legendary card. Overwatch’s bonus is a new skin for Winston, which is also already available in the game. “Through the power of science, Winston found himself teleported into BlizzCon and picked up this souvenir skin to mark the curious occasion,” Blizzard said.
So basically the virtual ticket is for the in-game goodies, access to the Blizzcon merch store, all of the major discussion panels, the contests, and the closing ceremony. But if you want to take your BlizzCon home experience to the next level, you can pick up the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, available to purchase now in the Blizzard Shop. Since the amount of tickets is finite, dates for the ticket sales are announced months in advance. On sale day, the tickets are often sold out within the first few hours. DirecTV customers can also purchase a virtual ticket for $39.99. In both cases, remote access will include two HD streams that will broadcast developer panels, interviews and community contests hosted by Wil Wheaton.
