In 2000, LaBelle released When A Woman Loves; taking her in yet another direction. She remained one of the great entertainers and summed up the feelings of her fan base during a 1994 concert. Patti LaBelle and the Blue Belles continued to enjoy moderate success with singles like “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Danny Boy” . In 1965, after their original label Cameo-Parkway shut down, the group signed with Atlantic Records in New York.
