If you’ve ever tried to smoke marijuana in South Dakota, you probably knew how much of a headache this can be. With that in mind, we were excited to get some insight from the South Dakota Canna Hemp Association on the issue.
The South Dakota Canna Hemp Association is an organization that is dedicated to protecting the rights of cannabis growers and sellers. They are the only trade association that focuses on making sure that the laws are applied fairly, without discrimination of any kind. The association has a lot of people who are passionate about protecting the cannabis industry, and they have a lot of support from the local county governments.
Canna Hemp refers to cannabis that was grown in the state of South Dakota. There are currently about 60,000 acres of usable cannabis plantings across the state, and because the state has a large agricultural economy, they’re able to take in an enormous amount of marijuana. This is why the state is a leader on the issue, and why they’re advocating for the legalization of cannabis in all forms.
There are a couple of things that are true about the situation in South Dakota. First, because the state has such a large agricultural economy, there is a good chance that an individual farmer will grow cannabis. Second, unlike in other states, the state has a very specific set of laws around cannabis that have resulted in the state being very strict on cannabis.
The South Dakota Medical Cannabis Laws were passed in 1989 to allow for the sale of cannabis products to adults age 21 or older. The state also has a “Cannabis Regulation Act” that was passed in 2009 to create the rules for the sale and use of cannabis. The act makes it illegal for anyone under 21 to possess or consume cannabis products.
Like most states, South Dakota has strict laws on cannabis, but unlike most states, South Dakota has very specific set of cannabis laws that have resulted in the state being very strict on cannabis. The South Dakota Medical Cannabis Laws were passed in 1989 to allow for the sale of cannabis products to adults age 21 or older. The state also has a Cannabis Regulation Act that was passed in 2009 to create the rules for the sale and use of cannabis.
In our research into the state’s cannabis laws, we found that the state has a very particular set of regulations for cannabis, and while these may appear to be very strict, they really aren’t. We found that the South Dakota Medical Cannabis Laws are actually one of several cannabis laws that are quite liberal, and many states with similar cannabis laws are actually quite strict in what they allow on the table for cannabis.
We are also told that the state of South Dakota has a bit of a reputation for being lenient on marijuana, and when we inquired about things like the state’s medical cannabis laws, we were told it was very liberal, and that they are very lenient regarding the penalties for possession of this very dangerous substance.
While many of our readers are familiar with the strict state laws regarding cannabis, our local area has one of the loosest state laws, where you can be charged criminally with possession of cannabis (even for personal use). This is a pretty common topic in our local area, but I have to say, I personally don’t feel comfortable with it.
I personally feel that cannabis laws are not lenient enough for our area, so I don’t think it makes sense to go even further down that road. The laws are fairly lenient overall, but I could be wrong.
